Εκτέλεση
- Mix the lukewarm plant-based milk with the sugar and yeast and leave for 5–10 minutes until the yeast activates.
- Add the flour and salt, then the melted plant-based butter.
- Knead until you have a soft, elastic dough.
- If it is too sticky, add a little more flour.
- Cover and let the dough rise for about 1 hour.
- In a non-stick pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onions over low heat.
- Add the salt and sugar and keep going until they are well caramelised and soft, about 20 minutes.
- Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
- In a non-stick pan with a little olive oil, cook the plant-based burgers for a few minutes on each side.
- They can also be cooked in the oven or the air fryer.
- Divide the dough into 8 balls and, on a floured surface, roll them out with a rolling pin into discs of about 20 cm.
- In the centre, place plant-based cheese, a burger, a little sauce, a tomato slice and some caramelised onions.
- Fold the dough around the filling, pressing the edges well, and place them seam-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Brush with plant-based milk and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20–25 minutes, until nicely golden.
