Εκτέλεση

  1. In a jug, add the lukewarm plant-based milk, the yeast and the sugar.
  2. Stir and set aside for 10 minutes so the yeast activates.
  3. In a bowl, add the flour and the salt and mix.
  4. Pour the milk and the vegan butter into the flour and mix with a spoon until a dough forms.
  5. Then knead with your hands for 2 - 3 minutes.
  6. At first the dough will stick to your hands, but little by little it will come together and stop sticking.
  7. If needed, add a little flour to make it easier.
  8. Flour a clean surface and turn the dough out onto it.
  9. Knead for about 5 minutes.
  10. Put the dough back in the bowl, cover with cling film and leave it somewhere warm for 60 to 90 minutes to rise and double in size.
  11. While the dough rises, make the filling.
  12. Heat a little olive oil in a non-stick frying pan and, once hot, sauté the soy mince until it takes on colour.
  13. Add the onion, the carrot and the celery and keep sautéing.
  14. Add the bay leaf and the garlic and sauté for another two minutes.
  15. Add the tomato paste, stir and deglaze with the wine.
  16. Once the alcohol has evaporated, add the tomato sauce, the chopped tomatoes, the water, the spices, the molasses, salt and black pepper.
  17. Lower the heat and let the sauce thicken.
  18. Once the dough has doubled, lightly flour a surface, roll the dough out with a rolling pin and shape it into a rough rectangle.
  19. The dough should be about 1 cm thick.
  20. Spread the sauce over the whole dough.
  21. Starting from one end, roll the dough up slowly, placing it seam side down.
  22. With a knife, cut the roll into 5 cm pieces.
  23. You will get about 10 rolls.
  24. Place them in a buttered 20 x 20 cm baking tin, leaving gaps between them.
  25. Sprinkle plant-based cheese over the rolls.
  26. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  27. While the oven heats up, cover the tin with cling film and leave it somewhere warm to rise.
  28. Once the oven is hot, put the tin in and bake for about 20 - 25 minutes, or until golden.
